Bank/Financial Benefits Survey Results
Glastonbury, CT - March 2008 -- USI Consulting Group, a subsidiary of USI Holdings Corporation ("USI") and a Goldman Sachs Capital Partners company, announced the results of their fifth annual Bank/Financial Benefits Survey.
The survey was sent to over 600 banks, credit unions and other financial institutions across the United States. Recipients were questioned about their health benefits, retirement benefits, and any banking or additional benefits they might offer. Results were distributed to all respondents of the survey, in the hopes that it would help them compare their answers to their peer group in terms of employee benefit offerings and cost strategies.
Of note, the survey revealed that 91% of those who responded offer a Defined Contribution plan. The majority of this group (97%) offers a 401(k) plan to their employees.
In contrast, only 33% of respondents offer their employees a Defined Benefit plan. Of those who offer a Defined Benefit plan, 91% are not planning to terminate it.
The 2008 Bank/Financial Benefits Survey will be distributed in August. |
