USI Consulting Group Receives “Best in Class” Award from PLANSPONSOR Magazine

Glastonbury, CT – February 2008 -- USI Consulting Group, a subsidiary of USI Holdings Corporation (“USI”) and a Goldman Sachs Capital Partners company, announced they have received a “Best in Class” award in PLANSPONSOR Magazine’s annual Defined Contribution Survey.

Over 5,000 defined contribution plan sponsors responded to this year’s survey. In the Small Market ($5MM - $50MM) Awards, USI Consulting Group ranked in the top quartile for participant services and received a “Best in Class” award for retiree services. “This award is an illustration of our continuing effort to improve ourselves and the quality of service we provide to our clients,” said Jim Kinney, President and CEO of USI Consulting Group.

Along with the “Best in Class” award, 98% of USI Consulting Group clients who responded to the survey said they would recommend us to others. “I’m excited about the recognition of the service aspect of our program and about the direct recognition from clients. This award reflects positively on the effort our dedicated service teams make to provide the highest quality service to our clients,” said Chris Martin, Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of USI Consulting Group’s Defined Contribution department.
